This was one of the most playful projects I’ve had the pleasure to work on for COLOR. H.D. Fowler, a Washington based pipe company, hired COLOR to create a series of onboarding videos for new employees. Specifically, they wanted these videos to spoof on vintage 1950’s training videos. Obviously, we were all very excited.

After some experimentation we landed on a monochrome style using pops of color from the company’s branding and simple drop-frame motion with an emphasis on design over complex animation to tell the story with that retro feel the client wanted. All character assets were designed and animated by the talented Grace Galarosa while I tackled all remining environments, props, motion, and compositing.
